Colorado lawmaker Dan Grossman worries about what amounts to one-stop shopping at gun shows like this one.
"The point is do we make it convenient?" asks Grossman. "Do we create a 7-11 for terrorists?
"Do we create a super store for militia members who want to cause harm to this country and their neighbors? The answer to me is no."
So there are the two new VPC talking points about gun shows. Guns shows are "7-11 for terrorists" and "super stores for militia members."
Be prepared.
And this slant of terrorists getting automatic weapons...nice spin.

"We have to recognize the second amendment rights of our citizens but we have to be reasonable," said Grossman. "No one needs to have a machine gun for self protection."
Anyone who wanted to modify a gun into an automatic weapon could easily find all the parts needed for sale at a recent Colorado gun show.
Well, duh! It's illegal as hell. Everybody familiar with gun laws already know that.
What does she want, ANOTHER law?

Well half right is pretty good for these bozos. Although not the way they meant it, gun shows are SUPER stores for militia members. Of course, at least in Texas, militia members includes everyone, male and female, 17-65 years old. Every militia member should pay a visit to a gun show, a gun shop, or at least WalMart or Acadamy Sports, and stock up now, before the rush. What rush you say? The rush that will occur immediately after then next terrorist attack on US soil, which if Saddam and the (possibly) raised from the dear Osama have anything to do with it, might be as early as Thursday, or might be within the next couple of months. Thursday is execution day for that Pakistani Mussleman who shot up a bunch of cars near CIA Hq a few years ago, killing several people, IIRC.
Actually, I think they are mainly pi$$ed that they are not collecting sales tax on the transactions.
In a related but obtuse matter, any of you FReepers have quotes on the 1930's laws about outlawing machine guns? As I understand it, all you need is the right permits (read: money) to own one. True?
Steady. Just because they are young, black, and male does not make them into criminals. They have every right to a gun as you and I. In fact, most gun laws are targeted at keeping guns out of the hands of minorities. Don't be prejudicial.
