Okay, I'll confess my ignorance here. I don't get the circumcision remark at all. Do Moslems practice circumcision? I thought, as a religion thing, it was a Jewish practice.

Yes, Muslims also practice circumcison. Jews, Muslims and some tribes have ritual circumcision.

Also what most of people in Europe and elsewhere are not aware - a large part of Americans got secular circumcision, because the medical loobby promoted it a beneficial for health, although the actual reasons tend to be switched every few years (while the profits remain constant). Now the secular circumcision seems to be on decline.

Muslims consider themselves "sons of Abraham". God commanded everyone in Abrahams' house to be circumcised including his servants. Abraham is the father of many nations, including the Arabs (Ishmael). So yea, they circumcise.

MUSLIM CIRCUMCISION CEREMONY



It is compulsory for all Muslims to be circumcised and every year there is a religious ceremony performed in Penang where young Muslim boys are prepared for the imminent cut. Pic above shows the candidates seated in a row waiting ... Before the circumcision it is customary to feed the candidates with some yellow rice but this laddie is apparently not very interested to take it thinking of what's ahead .....

Some Muslims, especially in Egypt other parts of Africa practice Female Genital Multilation as well.
