I heartily, most heartily, agree!!
I don't understand why you think we have to have a relationship with our creator. He is God, all powerful entity, how does a flesh&blood human have a relationship with God?
Well, this brings up an interesting tangent which can be quite subjective.
When I examine the Bible I see that it says that human beings are created for a relationship with the Almighty and that we will not find fulfillment anywhere else. IMO - and in my belief - those who keep on falling into evil are trying to fill that void with something else, the void that only the Creator can fill.
You assume that humans are only flesh and blood, whereas the Bible (as well as a lot of theists) would claim a human being is spirit also, in contrast to the animals who *are,* according to Christian teaching, only flesh and blood.
It is in that spirit which we have a relationship with God and our flesh (our mind and hearts and ensuing actions) should reflect that.
from:http://www.letusreason.org/Islam10.htm
"It is a spiritual fact that the God we serve and worship will conform us to his likeness."
If one's god is chaotic and mercurial and violent as Allah seems to be then the deeper one gets into Islam, the more they will reflect those characteristics.
