My cousin Isaac Ryan died at the Alamo, one of the first to die. His name is on a plaque on interior wall of Alamo. I have copy of his birth certif., and some other things like that.
My cousin George Washington First in the heart of his countrymen, too many great things to list.
My father-in-law served during WWII.
My uncle Richard Thoos, who is still MIA WWII in a B17, presumed dead long ago. When the peaceniks started protesting the other day, it broke my heart, I went to Richard's framed photo and apologized to him for the protests! The DEMONstrators make me SO angry! They don't appreciate anything that our military has done.
I also lost two friends in VN War. Ricky James and Larry Henshaw. Just boys, from Sapulpa Oklahoma. Their names are on THE WALL, I did a rubbing of their names with pencil on paper. You can do that at THE WALL. I did that during the Fantastic FreeRepublic Howl for Justice on weekend of Oct. 31, 1998.

Good morning buffy. I really really really like that quote on your profile page. Evil does indeed come in the guise of the beautiful, the desirable. That is why we get fooled so often. We forget that fire is beautiful but deadly.

What an interesting family history, buffy! You know, if you have any photos of any of them, we would love to add them to our growing collection of FReepers and FReepers' families who've served.
