We just walked down the block, till we had others cheering with us!!! Surely this couldn't be classified as a "Mini" FReep! Kudos to you and your son and thanks for the great report.
"Get out of Riley's House" brings back memories of Election 2000. Will SORE LOSERMEN never learn?
FReep On!

fake currency shall not pay. Burn the fake currency, jail the Democrats. It is not a misunderstanding.

I have to give credit where credit is due. I learned the phrase from reading all the posts here about the DC chapter freeping Gore. It just popped into my head and rolled right on out!!!

Way to go!! Congrats on your Freep, and thanks from a fellow Alabamian.
How awesome that you got replies from JimRob himself, and from Kristinn--my hero from the "Get outta Cheney's house" days!

Wow. I can't believe it. You had others jumping in. At a parade. It doesn't get much better than that. Thanks for posting this. I needed some good news today.

Hi there! Actually I had been lurking a while longer. A friend of mine, Bobz, (he doesn't post as much any more) kept telling me about Doug from Upland, and sending me links to his ditties.
I started reading the posts and headlines. Then I started noticing that the posts and headlines from FreeRepublic were not biased like even my local "supposed" conservative newspaper. And then I kept getting real time news events when I would be on the site. Freepers were scooping Drudge and Rush. (This was before Bill O. and Hannity.)
It also gave me a better flavor for what people were actually doing and thinking across the US. And It didn't have to get filtered through a Canadian Liberal talking head before it got to me.
So for me, Freerepublic was like sitting on a goldmine for real conservative news. It really is the voice of the people.
I worked for Ambassador Keyes during his election and probably traded emails with a few of you (if you wrote the campaign). I was hired staff, I answered all the mail personally. It was always a plus for us when he would get some positive reports here.
When election time came, I voted for Howard Phillips. I am just a Constitutionalist at heart.

I agree, no Newts this time, but don't you think they have a mandate of sorts?
I heard Bush speak today, a clip of it, and I was very impressed. I wish more Americans could hear him speak.

I wish I could do it all over again!!! With a bullhorn. The Lame Duck Dem Gov. is now suggesting he will call a special session to "get this handled."

When I was thinking about a name, it seemed to fit, all things considered. Jael. A woman who did what needed to be done at the time. She was probably very happy to finish that and get back to her regular life.......my regular life since leaving the employ of Ambassador Keyes has been full time homeschool mom. I love it. But I feel really ready for the next one!!!

I read all the DC chapter threads. I had even seen a few momentary glimpses of them on TV. And the phrase just struck in my mind. What they did had an impact on me. It was regular people like you and me taking the time to do something to make a difference.
So when Seigleman crested that hill, it was just in me to Freep him. I was overjoyed at the chance. Not just to Freep him, but the fact that Freerepublic had schooled me in what to do. It wasn't a protest. It was a FREEP. Amen!

The others jumped right in. My son was hanging back at first. He had no idea what was happening. There we are at the start of the Veteran's Day Parade, and his mom just starts screaming at the top of her lungs!!
He was at the crossroads. "Is she crazy or cool." When other people took up the cheer he went with cool and cheered along with us!!!
But thanks to Freerepublic for giving me the wherewithal to do it!

I don't know if he made the connection of not. For me, having been lurking here for so many hours during those days of the Presidential election, there was no other cheer that would do. Nothing else even crossed my mind. It fit. The crowd loved it. Well, some of the crowd. :-)
