Just a side note the next night Brit Humme called Shep the best news announcer he had ever worked with and I don't think Humme hands out compliments too often.

my husband and I were listening to him when he said it... and we both laughed out loud and I have to hand it to Shep, he was able to give the rest of his report without dying...although, his face was red...at the end, he said something to the effect that he was sorry about the "slip" and that he didn't know where "THAT" came from... ROTFLOL!
