"Putting aside obfuscation about women's right's etc,"

I can't do that.

I think you should reconsider. Hey, what about an abortion the day before a woman is scheduled to give birth? According to your logic, it's her body so an abortion is unquestionably moral and her choice. Can't you see this is a false dilemma. It has nothing to do with a woman's choice, the only question is, whether or not the unborn child/fetus deserves protection. Can an father choose to molest his daughter? It's his body after all. Can a woman lock her son in a closet and starve him to death? It's her house, her property. It should be her choice right? Yes it would be her choice if she wasn't jeopardizing an innocent human life and violate it's rights. Half of all unborn children aborted are female (or more in China), what about their rights? Thus the abortion debate is not about freedom of choice, we all agree that women deserve freedom and choice. But our first priority must be protecting human life.

Thus, the real issue is deciding when human life begins. Can you tell me when that occurs exactly? How certain are you? Could you be wrong? Are you certain enough to bet a child's life on it, because that's exactly what you're doing.
