Binky, I think you are sincere and life-loving, even if I think we are not 100% on a wavelength in all matters.

What do you think of this (just to shift the subject a little)? I heard Patricia Heatley (actress) say that being truly pro-choice means that there is an ultrasound machine in every Planned Parenthood clinic, and every prospective aborting mother gets to see an ultrasound of what she will be aborting -- so she can make a fully informed choice. And that next door to every abortion clinic, there is a home for unwed mothers, so, again, the woman can make a real choice, not think that abortion is her only alternative. The left seems to think that freedom of speech means urging abortion and that it is somehow illegitimate to educate women about other alternatives. This is somewhat along the lines of teaching abstinence in school, instead of just passing out condoms.
