I've had the displeasure of meeting him in a small (4 or 5 people) business setting once. He is smug, conceited, and believes himself to be the center of the universe. The meeting was pleasant, but I took an immediate dislike to him.
Unfortunately, most of the pols I've met can be described that way. Guess it's the ego thing that gets most of them running for office to begin with. Another trend I've noticed is that after the election you don't hear from them much - until they need another volunteer or favor of some sort.
