To: Republican Wildcat
If Theresa Isaac runs for the seat, she's toast. She'll face Scott Crosbie likely again, and she will perhaps narrowly carry Fayette County like she did in the mayor's race, but she will lose the rest of the counties in the district.

I didn't mean to imply that Isaac could get elected to Congress, and I doubt she would even run. But Crosbie would have been the logical candidate had he won the mayor's race. I think it is a big leap now for Crosbie to go from losing the mayor's race to winning a Congressional race.

I don't live in Lexington anymore, so I don't know who else might be a good Republican candidate in the 6th District. What are your thoughts?

I think Crosbie is still the top candidate. The "whispers" were saying he would be the ideal person, whichever way the mayor's race went. He should have the name recognition, because the ads he ran were seen by the entire district.
