WISH I COULD MAKE IT

The first segment features 2 couples. One is a pro-gun man who is a hunter and his frightened wife who refuses to let him keep a gun in the house because they have a child. The other couple is a pro gun woman (she also heads up a gay progun group called the Pink Pistols, but she is not gay) with her supposed anti-gun husband. He is actually not really anti-gun, but was told to play it up for the show. He is just against her having all her guns out around the house. She is a competitive shooter.
The next segment is with the notorious anti-gun state senator from CA named Jack Scott. He lost his 27 year old son about 10 years ago at a party where the host brought out a shotgun while he was drunk and thought it was unloaded....ended up killing Mr. Scotts son. He now does everything in his power to restrict the rights of others to own guns by exploiting his sons tragic death. I guess that if he was hit by a drunk driver...Jack would be pushing a ban on cars. There is also a call from a woman who had one of her kids shoot another...and she says she didn't even know there was a gun in her home...when questioned, she refuses to answer...it is very strange.
Then, the third segment is a 17 year old trying to buy a gun in Las Vegas.
The 4th segment is fabulous. They took 8 teenagers to see Bowling for Columbine & then get their reactions. 2 of the kids are plants...their mother is with the "Million Mommies" and she gets her twin boys to do anti-gun stuff like testify in front of the LA City Council in favor of a total ban on ammunition sales. The other 6 kids are thoughtful, funny, and very interesting.
The final segment is The Liberty Belles and we talk about guns, safety & school shootings. Near the end, there is a woman who stands up & says she is a teacher & that she doesn't want to carry a gun in front of her students...that is the mother of the twin boys. I offer to teach her for free & she says she doesn't want to learn. How ironic, a teacher who is against learning. hehehhee
The host of the show is great. He plays the devils advocate & questions both sides equally. I found him to be fair & balanced...unlike most other shows that cover gun owners.
