The Rev. Gill Ford, the NAACP regional director in Denver, said he heard about the display from the local NAACP branch. To many African-Americans, he said, a noose is especially repugnant, "It's going to be like the swastika to somebody who's been in a concentration camp.
Really, "Reverend" Ford? You'd find an equivalence between the "African American Experience" and a concentration camp? After 30+ years of racial set asides, an un even playing field, affirmative action, quotas, hate crime legislation, blindingly rapid rising standard of living, and seeing your "community" rise in stature to have the purchasing power of the fifth largest country on earth to be in someway comparable to a concentration camp?
Or did you really mean a death camp? Where Millions of Jews, Gypsies, Mental Defectives and various other "Undesirables" were worked until near fatal exhaustion or were exposed to ghastly medical experiments and then were gassed or shot in the head?
You know, I've got to say, you've lost me in that comparison. Maybe you should re-examine the statement as it seems like it might have been made by someone with an umbrage disorder.
It's an effigy of two animals who committed a horrific act. You've got something missing from your soul if upon seeing this you somehow relate to the Carrs and feel offended. You've long exhausted my compassion for your "plight" and are rapidly expending that of my fellow Americans.
