I work in the Park Shops office building downtown.I work in the Pork Chops office building downtown.
"Mmmmmmm pork chops...."

I haven't been in the Park Shops for a gazillion years. Does Waldenbooks have a view of the street? Could he see a few flag waving FReepers on the sidewalk?

The Waldenbooks is actually on the second level of the Park Shops. It is near the escalators. I don't know why they would choose this particular store as a book signing location. It's pretty obscure. It's probably because they don't want to see a bunch of "flag waving conservatives" on the street to disrupt it!
To: American72
Well, it's also the level below the security office in the Park. Walden's seems to do a lot of book signings at that store anyway.
Maybe they think Jennings can impress the attorneys and money mangers that work in the area with his fine intellect. It might be worth a walk by, I'm in 2Houston. Ping me as the date approaches please.

At last night's Country Music Awards, Vince Gill (saying what Toby Keith would like to have said) made a disparaging comment about Jennings.

At last night's Country Music Awards, Vince Gill (saying what Toby Keith would like to have said) made a disparaging comment about Jennings. I heard that! It was great! He said something to the effect of "I asked Peter Jennings from ABC if he'd like to come by and introduce Toby Keith. I haven't heard back from him." Ha~!
To: American72
When is it Yes, it is the 16th. I will be posting a thread tomorrow with time, place, etc and you will get a ping.

Take a lot of Toby Keith music with you to play. I have it good standing that Mr. Keith is jennings favorite! When you see the jerk coming, make sure you have "Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue" qued up and ready. jennings wouldn't have it on the 4th of July, but Provo, Utah had 50,000 people come out for it!

We could pull ol'Pete's jersey over his head and crosscheck him with a hockey stick...That's what we would do up North...
Jennings is a Dick
