I would not be so quick to associate Michigan Militia with Al Quaeda. IMHO, any Michigan/AQ linkage would be through either extreme left-wing sympathizers or the relatively large Arabic ethnic community.
I think the point was they should be raiding the homes of "real" terrorists if they want to do that sort of thing.
Yes, I agree. But there is also a need to "follow-the-trail" to leadership, not just round-up the self-sacrificial peons.
Not that I think that Koernke is associated with AQ terrorism,
but he's gone out of his way to "push-the-envelope" and agitate on the extreme right.
As I said, I may empathize, but it is also with EXTREME wariness of the types of kooks that are also attracted to that message. Many are truly emotionally unbalanced with racial/ethnic/religious ignorance and bigotry.
