"You're right dm, gridlock for the next four years."
As a state worker it will definitely be interesting to see what happens with the Budget... I may end up on the unemployment line yet...

Oh, I was going to ping you but of course, you heard the latest.
To: redlipstick
Associated Press here in Arizona is saying Salmon can't make up the deficit and is declaring Napolitano the winner.Ping for the latest news in AZ.
To: valleygal
Not sure about that. I think they used a different state's attorney in the Symington case for conflict of interest reasons. Maybe someone else remembers...

Actually, I hadn't, but thanks for thinking of me. :)
I decided to take a break for awhile and began Sean Hannity's book.
I was kinda bummed last night figuring Matt had lost but I realize we never hear or see much from "the late" Jane Hull and I don't watch alot of local news so maybe we won't see much of J.N.
Will be fun listening to KFYI for the next several years, though.

"We had the vote yesterday," Napolitano told The Republic. "I don't know why the last slug of Maricopa County votes would be all that different." While conceding she is probably correct in her point, I find her choice of the term "slug" to refer to outstanding votes most curious.
I saw that interview on Ch 3 tonight (well now, last night) at 6PM and wondered about that myself. She said that ("slug") several times when referring to the outstanding votes. Perhaps she figured it was the butch thing to say.

Matt should not conceede Maricopa's 181 k votes will be atleast 2-1 for Salmon. My folks in Suprise are among those absentee's. thats a 60,000 vote margin!!!

Agreed. I did not like Janet's tone lastnight. Do the math was so in your face. She kept emphasizing a bipartisan team that she would put together. Wonder if Grant Woods is one of them? That's not bipartisan, IMO. Glad there is hope in the state senate/house.

The latest numbers in Arizona's gubernatorial election are set to be released tonight. Maricopa County Recorder Helen Purcell will give the most recent totals tonight at 5 and depend on News 5 to bring that to you live.
I just got this from Channel 5. Pray!!

I forgot to add that in reviewing the new totals at the SOS page, there was no change for Maricopa County totals. Not sure where these votes came from but it does not appear to be from the Phx. area, where Matt would get the most votes.
