ENOUGH SCHADENFREUDE!
Me

I've detected way too much gloating up in here. It makes me uncomfortable and I wonder if it bothers anybody else.
I thank God the GOP did as well as it did, but I harbor no hatred for the opposition. For one thing, well, I just don't. I find it hard to hate somebody just because he'd pull a different lever in a voting booth. For another, if we did that, we'd be just like the worst, creepiest people we've seen in the Democrat party--the ones that held the Wellstone funerally or who passed out Oreo cookies to attack a black Republican in Maryland.
I can't stand that kind of hateful attack-dog stuff, and I want no part of it. The gloating I see here reminds me of it, and I hope that people will dial it back a bit, now that the first flush of victory has passed.
Or is it just me?

More schadenfreude, please, and a bigger spoon.
When I am quite satisfied, I will put the spoon down. That is the signal that it is now safe to take the bowl away.
Attempting to remove my dessert prematurely could easily result in the loss of more important things than a tip.
"Enough?" *I'll* say when.

So far, the bloom isn't off the rose. I can't wipe the smile off of my face, and don't care who doesn't like it.

I'm not for hatred. But it's possible that if the Dems feel very chastened that they'll think twice in the future before trying to obstruct everything in sight that a Republican President tries to do. The Shumers, Clintons and Daschles may lose some ability to get the Dems to follow them over the cliff the next time they're out to throw up a roadblock to everything a Republican President tries to do.

Psalm 129
A song of ascents.
1 They have greatly oppressed me from my youth- let Israel say-
2 they have greatly oppressed me from my youth, but they have not gained the victory over me.
3 Plowmen have plowed my back and made their furrows long.
4 But the LORD is righteous; he has cut me free from the cords of the wicked.
5 May all who hate Zion be turned back in shame.
6 May they be like grass on the roof, which withers before it can grow;
7 with it the reaper cannot fill his hands, nor the one who gathers fill his arms.
8 May those who pass by not say, "The blessing of the LORD be upon you; we bless you in the name of the LORD ."

Gloating it one of the great joys in life! Besides, let's look at what the demoncraps have done for us...
Weakened America both in reality and perception. This may well have contributed to 911.
Lowered the moral tone of the entire nation.
Pursued gun control.
Pursued higher taxes.
More stuff too numerous to mention.
We won. Let us rejoice and be glad. And as soon as the demoncraps abandon their incorrect thinking, they can be on the winning side and join in the fun!

Sound of a slap off in the distance.
Me: "thanks, I needed that..."

If this is wrong, I don't want to be right! LOL, the only thing that would make it better is to see the Clintons, caught in an unrehearsed moment, asked about the results. I bet Bubba's bulbous schnoz would explode. Hillary's statement would consist primarily of "you know."

Hey, cut us some slack. Don't you remember the disgusting endless celebration when slick was elected? And that was all over the broadcast media.
To: nicks bad seed
The problem is that there are just as many on the other side who feel the exact same way about you and your brethren because of the policies your support.True, but it does not make them any less evil and destructive to our liberty. Carrying your moral relativism a wee bit further, terrorists feel that way about us, as do other murderers and low-lifes. Moral relativism has no place in civilized debate.

I'm not for hatred. But it's possible that if the Dems feel very chastened that they'll think twice in the future before trying to obstruct everything in sight that a Republican President tries to do.They are unruly and uncivilized, and can only be ruled with a rod. Show no weakness, for any sign of weakness is to their advantage, and your dismay.

Yeah, it's just you. Remember the impeachment party at the white house? That was the celebration of a criminal going free. Celebrating Republican gains is celebrating a moral and philosophical revival.
