"We spent three times more money than we have ever spent in a midterm election."
And they still lost. LOL

Just goes to show that all that Global Crossing money can buy a lot of crack... He'll have a lot of time for that sort of thing real soon...

"I know that I cost the Bush family a little bit of money - they spent some campaign money they probably weren't planning on. And I know at Thanksgiving, when the Bush family goes to Kennebunkport, I know that Jeb will turn to George and say, 'Now we're even.'"

What an asshole this guy is. He's probably begging the Clintons right now not to have him murdered.
To: kattracks
He will.
Figuratively, of course. His political career is toast.
Even so, the depths of his delusional thinking staggers.
Either that, or his Goebbels-esque commitment to the "Big Lie" is all-consuming.

Terry - Just go away!
No one is interested in what you have to say.
When will this man shut up? He lost, his party lost, how can he say 'nothing has changed'?
Give me a break!

This was actually worse than even CNS portrays it. He is an odious weasel.
Howlin and I are looking for the transcript! If one of us finds it, we will post it, pronto!

Some television commentators described McAuliffe's tone as "sour grapes."

"WE KICKED ASS, REALLY!"
To: kattracks
McAuliffe said he's "very proud" of what the DNC as an institution did. "We spent three times more money than we have ever spent in a midterm election." Typical Clintonian spin-lie. Does anyone in their right moind believe that spending three times what you normally would spend on something, then NOT getting it, is something to be proud of? For those of you who do, I've got some real estate I'd like to sell you for three times market value. After the transaction, and after you know that you spent three times what you should have, and after you don't get the real estate, you will feel "very proud."
Self esteem rules!

He should have used some of that money to buy himself eyelids and lips, so he wouldn't look so reptilian.

The proof that Terry McAuliffe is lying through his teeth will come shortly. When he gets fired for incompetence it might be appropriate for the press to ask him again whether "not much has changed." Of course, he should have been fired earlier for assorted criminal acts. Or perhaps not hired, because of the Prudential scam, the Teamsters scam, and the IBEW scam. So the Democrats will have the wrong reason for the right decision, and a lot of lost races and wasted millions to show for their stupidity. That's fine. At least we won't have Terry McAuliffe to kick around any more.

I dont think this is denial, I think this is quickly disguised full blow panic.
The RATS had their head handed to them on a good ole fashion southern picnic paper plate.
Evidently this indeed blind-sided them, they honestly believed they were going to lock it up by 10 PM and everyone could go home.
Here in Southern CA. the RATS I know wont even speak to me, they are just meandering around with this blank 1,000-yard stare on their faces scratching their heads.
Bill and Terry are quickly trying to bury the visible bomb damage before the majority of working folks get home tonight and turn on the evening news, ABCCBSNBCCNNMSNBC et al need some talking points and thats just what Bill and Terry are trying to do by blaming everything under the sun including the media for this loss, all the while denying the facts.
While driving to the store earlier the radio announcer broke in to report Mondale was conceding the election to Coleman, he paused and asked for comment from someone he had in the studio with him, the response was simply, unbelievable.
The RATS were truly and totally blind-sided they honestly never saw this coming.

He isn't even man enough to say, "We lost. We'll try to do better in '04." No, he'll be spinning right up to the second he experiences Arkancide.

McOlive sounds like Ken Lay when, what was it, 3 weeks before Enron went belly up, encouraged the company's employees to invest in its stock!
