Or:

"Dave - I can be as dumb as a sack of hammers sometimes...."

I agree Dan.

I was going to respond to your Dr. Pepper question, but I see many able FReepers beat me to it, you young whipper-snapper.

I was amused to see how extremely (!!!!!) cautious all of the networks were, after calling states while the polls were still open in 2000.

Dan's "we'd rather be last than be wrong" comment was the icing on the cake.

Brian Williams earns the title of the most bitter partisan hack "newsman" last night. While not an exact quote, his position was something like" " How dare the people of GA exercise their right to vote against Cleland when he lost his legs n a war." No mention of Clelands voting record.

On the flip sie, didn't Jim Angle lok cheerful last night, standing around on some dismal, drippy location, his eyes beaming and grinning from ear to ear (:D

Hey, if it's good enough for a Klingon like Worf,
it's good enough for me.

"If, Bob, if it turns out that Republicans regain control of the Senate, and thus President Bush has the White House, both houses of Congress, and a very substantial majority on the U.S. Supreme Court, would or would it not be too strong to say that this night has been the 'Bushification' of America?" Schieffer gave in: "You could say that."

We been BUSHIFIED! Sweet!

Poor old Dan is a freeze dried Liberal. He hasn't had an original thought since the sixties and can't see that most people have left him behind.

Dan, what is the frequency?

I'd never heard Dr. Pepper described that way!

Actually I hope that ABCNNBCBS keep Blather, light in the loafers Brokawa, the Arab wanna be Jennings and all of the Clinton dark siders on CNN on for the next 2 years.

These arrogant Left POS's are the best thing to happen to us since Nov 2000 and 9/11 last year.

Few if any of us watch them, and they are driving the moderate voters away now like they drove us away in the 1990's.

So please ABCNNBCBS, keep your current line of Clinton A$$ kissing POS's on tv every night until the night after the election in November 2004.

The old Doctor Pepper was a big shot of sugar, prune juice and the carbonated water.

My granddad was put on Prune Juice by his doctor, and he hated Prune Juice and drank the Dr Pepper instead and got the same results.

My grandmother hated the Dr Pepper and bought RC Cola so she and we grand kids would have something to drink.

Now, listen here, young man.

Dr. Pepper is the national drink of Texas (Well, along with Shiner and Lone Star long necks.)

True believer Texans are required to take a pilgrimage at least once to Dublin, Texas where the 100 year old Dr. Pepper bottling plant is the last place on earth which still uses the original recipe for Dr. Pepper involving pure cane sugar. THE RECIPE NEVER INVOLVED PRUNE JUICE. That myth got started because a Waco pharmicist invented the drink and it was marketed for many years as having some sort of medicinal benefit. The 10, 2, and 4 (o'clock) slogan and trade-mark meant that drinking a Dr. Pepper at those intervals would "pep" one up.

Now I am going to lunch. I have a sudden urge for a large chicken-fried steak with cream gravy, a bowl of pinto beans and chase it down with a frosty bottle of Dr. Pepper. That's the best way I know for a Texan to celebrate a bright, sunny eighty degree day with a Republican majority in the Senate!
