I suppose that even a forum like that on DU has some limits. They probably shut down because of the inane comments they were getting from their usual supporters. They surely must have been embarrassed. I have only been to the web site a couple of times and I noticed today that they were even wilder than they normally are. I realize that "normally" isn't a good word to associate with DU.

Well I doubt it was shut down simply because the postings were crazy... the guy who runs it is an absolute loon! Partisan to the extreme... as are most of the posters there... If it got shut down because of content it was likely because too many of their own troops were lambasting the dems. O'reilly made the mistake of giving this idiot air time once, and cut him off in less than a minute because all he was doing was ranting about the stolen election of 2000 etc etc etc.. .the usual insane left rhetoric. So I doubt it was because of overt partisanship it got shut down... if anything it was too much dissent.
Lets face it this guy banned any dissenting posts on that site at all for the weeks leading up to the elections.

I'm still on the forums so please, ask me what you want me to find, and I'm more than happy to laugh my arse off and look it up. I'm in full gloat and glee mode today and still laughing just way, way, way too much. Another DU example of the koolaid fest:
"THE NAZIS ARE IN CONTROL!"
God, I love the smell of napalm on a DNC party in the morning.

Maybe the DUmmylanders were all demanding their contributions back. Waaaaaaa, those awful Republicans, they didn't surrender to al-quida like we would have. Now we will never have world peace and legal POT.
