All I know for sure is that about 8 pm last night, Ron Kirk resigned as Democrat candidate for Texas senate.

Tom Daschle announced that he will be replaced on the ballot by LBJ and because he's dead (voted twice in this election) his widow, Lady Bird, will serve in his place.
