God, I hope he means it this time.

Lott should be given a week to prove his resolve, and be replaced if he wimps out. Let's remember how the dems treated "power sharing".

This is perhaps the biggest and most meaningful GOP victory since Reagan....

1) The Supreme Court, need I say more.

2) Bush's federal judgeships will now proceed!

3) The Dems were repudiated in ssuch a sweet way: McCauliffe should resign which lessons the Clintoon influence on the National Dem Party and hopefully sinks Hitlery's future aspirations.

4) One of the best things: Mondale loses proving that dancing on the grave of a dead fellow Deomcrat and having Klintoon smiling and laughing during the memorial is simply too much for the electorate to stomach. Congrats to Minnesota!

5) The best job in the world? I'd say that goes to the person who gets to throw Dashole out of his office and move him and Jeffords into the broom cloest in the basement.

6) Lousenberg?? Sheesh, this geezer is too old to even take Dem orders. He'll spend his time drooling ath the D.C. steakhouses.

7) Saxby Chambliss over Cleland, that's a big one right up there with Sununu winning in N.H.

NOW, Bush and Congress have two years to prove that they deserve this. Someone should tell the future Senate Majority leader that we are not sharing power, we're moving forward with the many things the Dems have stalled.

Lott failed America and the American people in allowing the clinton impeachment trial to become a travesty of justice.

Trent Lott is no leader, never was and never will be.

If I were an artist I would come up with a picture of Robed Judicial nominees launching into their Judgeships like carriers leaving a flight deck.

He can start with the offices. If he does not make hillary move to a smaller office, we know that he just wont have what it takes.

Good one and no doubt completely accurate! I hope that they get rid of this guy. They need a strong person in that position now.

I agree about Lott. In fact I despise his weakness. However, I have come to appreciate some of the realities of how far left and out of touch the senate was/is, especially after Jumping Jeffords, McCain's mutiny, and Chafee's flirting with rats.

The reason he said "Let's Roll" is because those that are spineless can't walk.

This nimrod isn't actually going to be majority leader is he? If so, the Stupid Party will never be a more appropriate name for these clowns.

I agree. The Republicans have two years to prove to the American public that they can get the job done. It's up to us to hold their feet to the fire. If they blow it, 2004 will be overwhelmingly for the Dems.

Actually I agree with all the sentiment on LOTT. The LETS ROLL Terminology being used by LOTT indicates that perhaps he is reading post here at FR

I don't know what we would do without FR. I never would have known that Lott just said "Let's Roll".

Before the Jeffords switch, Trent Lott had a generous power-sharing agreement with the senate dems, who didn't reciprocate after the Jeffords switch. All I ask Lott to do is to cut the senate dems the same slack they cut us.(zero, zip, nada, zilch)
