The rank and file Latino voters are not hearing or responding to GOP campaign tactics. They are resonating with Democratic Party racial politics.

Its obvious to us, but the state GOP will be a molderin' in the grave before this finally occurs to them.

It appears to me that the GOP is consistently losing the statewide offices because of voting in three counties. Virtually the entire state went for Simon with the exception of Oakland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles counties.

I echo your sentiment about Reagan.

Yes, I think there was a national trend towards repudiation of racial politics. However, in California, it appears that the reverse is true. Having Cruz Bustamante on the statewide ticket was helpful to Davis' leverage.

There's alot of second guessing that has to be going on in the CA-GOP. The failure to have better unity (i.e. the divisive psyops of the DNC) has worked in California.

There is one solution... we have to introspectively evaluate the statewide returns and evaluate the election better.

Part of the problem is the basic math. In many of the rat voting counties north of San Francisco, we have about 50% of the people who work for some form of of government, the federal, state, county or city. These people are 100% rat activists. They vote solid rat, donate large sums of money and are as I noted Rat activists. These are not welfare rats, they live a good life.

Throw the union rats into that mix, and the Rats in the counties north and east of SF control the elections.

Mike Thompson, the Iraqi Saddam Licker Congressit, has the City of Davis and Arcata in his district. Both are liberal rat infested cities, with rat college age voters, and of course the professors and people who work for the colleges. So Thompson was able to go Havana to kiss Fidels you know what and sing Happy Birthday Fidel with 20 other rat watermelon congressits. Then he went Iraq to protect Saddam and suckle at his knees. Due to the rat population in his district, he won big time. He has a large % of the well off rat government workers in his district.

The good news based on the map that Bones posted is inspite of the terrible difference in money, Simon cut the % of Davis's win down versus his win % 4 years ago.

Last but not least all of the major fishwraps in Kali are maggot infested Liberal Prop Spin Rags for the rats. All of the local ABCNNBCBS affliates are Rat owned and spin 24/7 for the rats. They were also warned by Davis not to carry a single ad about his linke with the felon and the coastal committee crimes. They didn't carry any adds.

Of course the story broke loose last Friday, the best day to bury bad news and really too late get any traction.

Union control in minority communities plays a role in this process. This union control translates to mandatory dues and mandatory membership.

The appeal to children's issues was the vulnerability, but the statewide Simon Campaign wasn't listening to the voters. Arnold won on his children's platform. Rollins missed it.

We will have to get Brulte and Rowe to help formulate a politcal plan for the state of California. We need candidates that the swing voters would vote for in numbers. We need candidates that have crediblity with the Latino voters.

Well we put a good fight. Now for my prognostications. The Dimwit is done. He will tread water for four years and have aspirations for POUS but won't have a snowball chance in hell. The media plays a huge role in the lack of focus on issues. This gubernatorial campaign lacked any discussion of facts. If there had been factual discussion, the facts surrounding our decrepit healthcare and educational systems would be painfully obvious.

There was a book written back in 81 called "The Nine Nations of North America", Joel Garreau (the writer) call tne coastal strip from the border up through Alaska ecotopia.

No kidding. Simon only lost by five points whereas CA GOP standardbearer lost by twenty points to Davis four years ago. If the liberal RAT owned media rags had covered the latest Davis scandal, Simon may well have won this race even without an additional Bush visit.

When the next bill on foreign aid to third world countries comes before congress, we need to let our lawmakers know not to send California any.

I always said California was it's own seperate planet.

I see the California political scene as a no win for the GOP. I think we would have lost no matter the candidate or campaign.

I am not unhappy about Simon's loss. As Governor, he would have presided over a fiscal trainwreck and a repeat of the power shortage fiasco of 2001. The Legislature would have given him no assistance, and he would have been the target of 100% of the blame from the liberal media. He would have been a one-term Governor.

Instead, this is all going to be the the responsibility of the Democrats. They are the ones who are going to have to raise taxes and cut services. They are going to incur the wrath of Californians. It sets up the potential for a total upheaval in California politics, something which must happen before the Republicans can ascend to power.

It's going to be painful to California residents over the next 2-4 years, but it would have been painful under Simon as well. It's going to work out better for us in the long run.

The problem is not with the Dems, but it is within the means by which candidates make their way in. Bottom line is that within the California GOP, the moderates (what there still are of them) put up the money, and the hard right conservatives make up the majority of voting party members. The demographics are such, though, that hard right candidates may win a GOP primary, but can't win in a general election, and get fairly trounced. Unless California hard right folks get a grip on their baser instincts, they'll continue to bleed moderates off to the Dems, and will marginalize themselves further. On top of that, another complaint I hear is that they're not grooming younger candidates on up the line. You have to mentor them - they can't operate in a vacuum.

A pox on the psuedo conservatives who savaged Bill Simon 24/7 like they were getting paid for it. Gray Davis, the criminal thanks you for supporting him.

Now that the election is over, we will find out about more crimes the Davis Mafia has committed. We will find out that our state is debt beyond our worse nightmares. Davis and his fellow fascists will proceed to turn Kali into a Banana Fascist state without the benefits of a banana.

The map that Bones McCoy posted is good news to me re the lessening of the votes that Davis got 4 years ago in most of Kali..
