And now, they are reporting that Gephardt may quit. WOW! How great is that? I hope Dash-Hole and Hillary go away too.

In reality, 95% of blacks WHO VOTED voted Rat. A lot of blacks could NEVER vote for a Republican, but couldn't stomach voting for the Rats this time, so they stayed home. If they turn out in large numbers again, and continue to vote Rat, that's not good for us.

It's time to convince them that all Republicans do not have a white hood and robe in their closets, that by cutting taxes, reducing the bloated government, standing up to our nation's enemies, and having a moral view on life we enhance not just white folks opportunities, but black folks as well. No pandering, no free hand-outs like the Dems pretend to offer, no crocodile tears, but an honest-to-God vision of a FREE and PROSPEROUS REPUBLIC FOR ALL!

Problem is, that's what they want...what can we give them....I personally don't get it...nobody ever gave me nuthin...

We started something in 2000 and we are continuing in 2002. The work has just begun - big time. Now more than ever, we need to pull together to accomplish the conservative goals.

Protection of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
Education on all levels, that of kids and more importantly of adults. Insist on our rights, hold ourselves and our leaders responsible for the preservation and protection of these rights. Educate ourselves and others to these rights and OUR responsibility to these rights.

We have to prove that we are the leaders that we say we are. Sitting back and basking in the glory of the victory last night won't get us anywhere, will it? Depending on someone else to do the job won't get it, will it?

I'm ready to keep working to right what is wrong with this country, to return it to what it should be. I'm ready, are you?

Now more than ever our community activism is needed. Change starts at the bottom and goes out and up. Remember, people, just because they have that Republican designation after their name, they are still not perfect. Washington changes people and corrupts them.

Republicans aren't perfect. So don't expect to see change taking place immediately. It won't happen, especially with domestic and economic policy. It will take time and you and I have to keep this mind. There is also another important election coming up and it's starting to gear up now. It is the Presidential election of 2004.

Roll up those shirt sleeves, get up off the couch, out of the easy chair and out into your communities. Attend the local meetings on everything from a to z. Make yourself known and make your voice heard. Educate your family, friends, everyone that you come into contact with. It is important that we work for America.

Washington will only make the changes they want if we sit back and don't do anything.

"NOW, Bush and Congress have two years to prove that they deserve this.

Yes, I agree with that. But the conservatives across this country have to prove the same thing - that we deserve this. The only way we can accomplish this is to get up and out into our communites and work. Become known and let our voices be heard. As long as we sit back and expect great things to happen out of Washinton, we are no better than the democrats. We have to work alongside the people we have elected to make sure that the changes happen.

"If we had real leaders in the house and senate, I would say it might be done, but we have a real challenge ahead of us and most of it comes down on President Bush's shoulders."

Actually, the real challenge is OUR shoulders, we have to work for whatever success we want. It is going to come just because we have a majority in Congress and a Republican President. It will only come through the hard work of people like you and me. Change is going to be seen at the local level before it ever comes to the national level. Work, people, lots of good old fashioned work.

We need the reality to accomplish things, Snopercod. If we live in euphoria, nothing gets done.

Having lived in GA when Carter was governor, I can honestly say that he had no spine and he didn't when he was president.

Clinton only has one thing and I understand it's bent.

Karen, obviously stats are wrong, at least in the South. Without black voters swinging over to the Republic side...

“I keep looking for a way to spin this but I can’t find one,” a dour-looking Democratic hit man James Carville admitted on CNN shortly after midnight as he put a trash can over his head to hide his shame.

I added the bold but it's pretty close to the truth. You would think you'd only read something like this in National Lampoon.
