[history]
November 4, 2002 -- IN a number of key U.S. Senate contests, it appears that Democrats have gained a decisive advantage in their efforts to expand their lead in the upper chamber. According to polling completed Saturday night by John Zogby (the most accurate of published pollsters), Senate contests in Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, New Jersey and South Dakota have moved sharply toward the Democratic candidates in recent days.

Here is a little trip down memory lane for those of you who missed Dick Morris' column on Monday.
I hope he likes the taste of news print.

P.S.: Remember how Clinton lost Congress in 1994 and the resulting Republican arrogance led them to so alienate America that the president won re-election in a walk two years later? Could history repeat itself?NO!!!
That was Clinton, now it's Bush and we see what a difference that made.

I remember someone here saying at the time what good news this article was because Dick Morris is always wrong!

He was wrong about every race except Arkansas and as for South Dakota, Timmy Johnson looks set to win by a squeaker. Hardly a comfortable win, LOL.

... the Democrats could spank the GOP on Tuesday ...
Thank you for reposting this. It amuses me that Republican victories are always a complete surprise to our beloved media elites and chattering classes. Democratic victories are always the will of the people manifesting itself in the democratic process; Republican victories are flukes, freaks of nature, the manifestations of voter disgust with "both parties" etc., etc.

Ease up on "poor ole Dick". As usual his predictions were consistent--all wrong. Appears he's suffering from "toe in mouth disease", wherein whatever you intend to say comes out the exact opposite due to an oral obstruction.

I have not figured out why freepers have been so enamored with the toe sucker.

Looks like Dick musta gotten into a load of bad toes...

I have to correct the statement about South Dakota since its clear now absentee votes will probably end up erasing Tim Johnson's pitiful lead this morning. Tom Daschle thinks otherwise but he's whistling in the dark and is in deep denial. Liberals are so wrong - like Morris!

Dick's days as a political analyst/consultant are numbered...

Because, and I hate to say it, Republicans are easily duped.
To: 11th Earl of Mar
What went wrong for the Republicans? The ONLY thing that comes to mind is Tim Hutchins (sp?).
