the Libertarian may cost the pubbies again.

------------------

The libertarian cost the pubbies nothing. Elections must be won on the basis of candidate strength, not on the basis of not allowing other candidates to run against him.

9 precincts to go and 4 of them are Indian reservation precincts with 300 vote leads in each?

Well, we took Minnesota. And I hope they are taking South Dakota without fraud, though I doubt it.

Yeah seriously... if Libertarian votes are that big a deal, all the GOP has to do is drop the drug war, the effects of which are the cause of 99% of Libertarian concerns.

Two more Indian precincts: Johnson 506 Thune 79.

At least we got 13% of the vote there.

With four more of these precincts to report in, I don't think the 1078 vote lead is going to hold, unfortunately.

I'd be really interesting in the URL where you're getting precinct information on votes....because I don't see one at the SD SOS anywhere....

Here's what's left, 7 precincts:

4 in Shannon County which is running 89%-10% in favor of Johnson.
2 in Hamlin County which is running 54%-46% in favor of Thune.
1 in Marshal County which is running 59%-41% in favor of Johnson.

Currently Thune leads by 1078 votes.

At this point, it is so close that a recount seems inevitable, no matter who "wins" this morning.

the Libertarian may cost the pubbies again.

Not to mention that the libertarian candidate pulled out of the race and endorsed thune. The idiot libertarians voted for him anyway since it was too late to remove the name from the ballot.

Hamlin slightly favors Thune. Marshall slightly favors Johnson.

We can only hope there aren't enough Indian votes left for him to pass Thune.

Personally, I am afraid there are.
