You're right. Just one more thing though. You know what won it for us? It was a move from the Democrats play book. It was the "get out and vote" move.
In 2000, that is exactly what the Dems did to mobilize their base. And this election, the Republicans, led by (and don't doubt it for a minute) George W, knocked on doors and made phone calls and got every last one of the lazy R's off their duffs and down to the voting booths. And the "Silent Majority" spoke.And we won.
You know what this means, don't you? From now on we all have to get out there and get our Republican friends to vote. And we have to volunteer our services to our local and national candidates and we can no longer sit back and hope for the best because , if nothing else, tonight proved that heavy voter turnout can mean Republican victory from now on. And that means we can forget the rain.
