Daschle can try to woo Chafee, but his political stock took a rather big hit today, wouldn't you say? The anger, the infighting, the recriminations have not even yet begun.
In fact, the fight over the soul of the RATS will put Nelson-Miller-Hollings-Lieberman against Boxer-Kennedy-Levin-Harkin in a moment's notice. It won't be pretty, but it will be entertaining.
