A while ago, I heard on Fox News round table, someone say (I cannot remember who) that the Republicans spent a million dollars on a study to determine that a simple "knock on the door campaign" works.
I could have told them that for free. In my largely Republican district here in Southeast Missouri, I am called on, as a volunteer, to stuff and lick envelopes asking for contributions for the least amount being $25.00. Also, invitations for an event costing a couple $125.00 to attend for finger sandwiches and a tour of the host's home.
It is about time that the Republican party realize that the peons that work to stuff envelopes to parties can be utilized to even greater productivity. We can go to doors and knock and get out the vote like the dems.
When will the Republican party realize that it is grassroot efforts that win?

I'm heading over to McCallum's (WI) election party now. I expect it to be a somber evening...but I'll be back...

...it takes a grass roots effort to win...
I think that the Republican party has known that it does take a grass roots effort to win.
The big problem has been to teach the grass roots.
What have you done to build the grass roots?
