It's starting to look really good...but don't get your hopes up yet...there are still 12.2% overall and an additional 429,908 Senate ballots to count before this gets confirmed.

Also, 8 wards in Minneapolis still haven't reported their Senate ballot results yet...so expect a few more gains for Mondale; also, don't forget about the Iron Range...they usually trend Dem.

It's north/northwest of Duluth. Very barren area these days, but hardcore Dems. (I went to college in Duluth.)

Nine more precincts in: Johnson 1395 Thune 947. The lead dips below 2000. These were from Daschle's home county. Still seven Indian precincts sitting out there.

HUGE HAWAII PING! Not official but 100% reporting and it's 52 to 47% Lingle. They're spinning it as Lingle's victory by taking the Republican party away from the radical right wing to her more moderate stand, which in Hawaii's case is truly the only way a Republican can beat.

Yeah, ... it's on the FL website. She was running for a US house seat and got trounced.

Unfortunately the two SCOFLA judges got in although they had more than a third of all votes against them. NOt bad considering most voters automatically say 'yes' to anything they don't know or care about. Looks like Floiridians think business owners don't have a right to allow smoking on their own property; a stupid universal 'day care' ammendment disquised as 'voluntary' preschool to fool people into thinking it won't cost them got passed (barely.) And I think the silly class size thing also squeaked by.

Of course, there's no way we can afford to pay for the crap people voted for.
