BOSTON -- Republican Mitt Romney's campaign filed a complaint several hours after polls opened Tuesday, saying union workers were improperly influencing voters in the city's Jamaica Plain section.
Romney campaign adviser Rob Gray said officials with the Service Employees International Union were seen entering voting booths with some voters in Ward 11, Precinct 4 of Jamaica Plain.

This is becoming a major story in Boston and is leading the news here. Hence I decided to place this in breaking news. If the Democrats feel they have to cheat in Massachusetts, they are getting really desperate.
Local talk radio is all over this...more details to come.

Democrats CANNOT WIN without cheating.

Sam, I fear for our electoral process. We have electronic voting with no paper trail. We have questions over who is a legitimate voter and who isn't. Stories about cigarettes for votes, cash for votes, Democratic lawyers at polling sites, union thugs influencing voters, Democrat party shills taking advantage of nursing home patients, lawsuits filed before elections, lawsuits filed after elections, changing nominees at the last minute, and voting machines that apparently register the opposite of what was endorsed.
Is it even possible to run a clean election anymore?

The Republicans should send some people over and tackle them or something. The Dems couldn't say they were interfering with anyone's right to vote.

Local talk show host Jay Severin has gone ballistic over this. Apparently there is credible evidence that O'Brien's goons are escorting Hispanics into the voting booths (for whom English is a second language) and filling out the ballots for them.
Apparently this ties into one of the ballot questions which concerns English immersion. This ballot referendum proposes to do away with Spanish taught classes in public schools and force students to learn English. Romney is for it and O'Brien is against it.
The Democrat/Socialists want to keep Hispanics speaking Spanish so that they are at a perpetual disadvantage (and thus need a "helping hand" from the gub'mint). The Republicans want to force students to learn English so that they can become productive and happy members of our society.

No way can a clean election be held when you have two parties that keep other parties locked out, were they return 98% of incumbants, where the issues such as ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION are NEVER discussed in the debates. How's that for a start?

I hope Romney's people got it on tape!!
Sadly, I just was forced to join that union. They want a paycheck deduction for "political work." Not from me!! Not as long as it is voluntary!!
How come O'Brien is so sure this isn't going on?

I tried to post the updated version of the story, Sam, but the Admin Moderator pulled it as a duplicate post (maybe someday the search engine will actually work).
BOSTON -- The state's election chief says a voting complaint by Republican gubernatorial candidate Mitt Romney today was "Much ado about nothing." Romney's campaign filed a complaint today saying Democrat Shannon O'Brien's supporters were escorting voters into booths and telling them how to vote in Boston's Jamaica Plain neighborhood.
But Secretary of State William Galvin says he investigated the complaint, and found only one person who was approaching voters and offering translation services.
Election officials asked that person to stay at least 150 feet away from the polling place, as required by law.
No voters have filed any complaints.
An O'Brien spokesman called Romney's claim outrageous, and said Romney was just trying to dampen voter enthusiasm.
"Much ado about nothing," sure, sure. It sounds to me like Shannon's Brownshirted Union plug uglies are hard at work out there. Galvin, of course, is a Dem.

I don't think the search engine would have helped because our posts hit at about exactly the same time. You were setting up yours as I was hitting the post button. There's just no way to avoid that kind of thing.
Anyway, thanks for pasting your updated information here.

Romney (R) Complains Of Voter Irregularities In Boston Voter turnout in Boston is expected to be in the 101-105% range.

First thing that strikes me is how would the Dem candidate know whether this was true or not? Seems pretty quick with the denials.
Anyone who supports "bi-lingual ed" is a moron. Like you said, it's simply a plan to keep Spanish speakers down.
Multiculturalists are slime.

next time we vite, we need to wear some hidden cameras, taping all these union thugs...
put the tape over the internet, it will be quite some news...

Romney campaign adviser Rob Gray said officials with the Service Employees International Union were seen entering voting booths with some voters in Ward 11, Precinct 4 of Jamaica Plain.
"We've got union officials going into the booth with people and telling them how to vote," Gray said.
Secretary of State William Galvin was reviewing the complaint, said spokesman Brian McNiff.
and then
Democratic gubernatorial candidate Shannon O'Brien's campaign called the complaint outrageous and said there was "no illegal or untoward activity."
Romney's team didn't mention the Dems as being behind this (at least not according to this story). They just noticed people going into voting booths with other people which is not right.
The Dem team then screams that the report "outrageous". Apparently they don't care about it. Can the Dems be any more "out-in-the-open" or "in-your-face" about their corrupt Dem policies and goals? Wake up, America!

Go Carla Howell. I wonder if the Democrats will howl like the republicans have over question 1 to end the income tax. Amazingly republicans in office are against the measure. So much for the idea that republicans want to shrink government.

When I was voting in Burbank this morning, all the poll workers were complaining about signs in Spanish...and some lady hanging outside the polling place giving spanish instructions to people. Of course, if you are going to do that, you will need an Armenian, Filipino, Korean and the rest of the UN team in every polling place.
To: SpinyNorman
Did you vote yes on question 1?

First thing that strikes me is how would the Dem candidate know whether this was true or not? Seems pretty quick with the denials. I immediately noticed the same thing. O'Brien wasn't an innocent bystander; she was caught with her hand in the cookie jar.
