When I voted (in GA) early this morning I noticed that I needed to use the tip of my little finger to select the candidate I desired. It was like the "active area" of the screen was too small for most of my choices.

I sure would like to review the program code on those machines as well as the policies and procedures involved.

I've heard peole calling in on local radio stations to complain that when they go to the confirmation screen after voting McBride, it changes to Bush.

More than 7 people called in from different locations complaining of the same thing.

Since Bush is the first line on the touch screen for Governor, it seems that some of the machines are reverting to line 1 when put into review mode.

They notified poll workers who "reset" the machines, allowing them to vote for the rat.

If true, and it will be confirmed by the end of the day, it is absoluetly unacceptable.

If these machines are so unreliable that this happens just once, never mind apparently dozens of times, it is time for these counties to get their money back and use a more stable technology, like lever machines.

They're also having problems again all over FL. Seems the Demoncrat voters are using finishing nails to punch holes in the touch-screens to indicate their ballot choices.... 8~)

Apparently the programmers slipped up. The fraudulent recording and misrecording of votes is visible to the voter. This will be fixed, and the march to "paperless" voting will continue, getting rid of nasty, time consuming matters of recounts and hard evidence of actual votes. That's progress for ya!

My machine appeared to work fine. When I pushed a republican light....it lit right! Maybe it was only happening where people were being told how to vote and then they voted the correct way anyway.

Don't they have a master list of registered voters for the precint? Everyone voting should appear on the list, then need to sign in as that person on the list.

That would give the number of people voting, and possibly, the party they are registerred with.

Funny, if you read the same story posted on another unmentioned site, you would only think this is working against Democrats.

Let me go on record as saying "I'm not surprised" The machines were probably manufactured in some sweat shop employing illegals, or in a (nafta) Warez Mexico plant where IQ's are lower than individual finger and toe counts. Anyone here surprised?

I went to vote for Doug Forrester at 6:30 a.m. in the People's Republik of NJ, and was denied my right to vote "because we are having problems getting some of the voter's registration books in here" (some were not on-site so they couldn't check off my name to vote). The volunteers (definitely union-type, sheeple Dims) told me in a non-apologetic and cool tone that I would have to come back later "when the book with your name gets here". I guess they figure the Pubbies would get there earlier in the morning to vote, so they "would have problems" and not have the books on-site. Of course, there were also signs in Spanish highlighting voting procedures. (Those they made sure were not off-site.) I walked out swearing. Now I have to go back tonight after work and go through this all over again(not that my vote will make a difference in this liberal wasteland.)

Something is not right here...how much of this is going on today, and how many hard-working conservatives who are stuck working long hours and may not get another chance to make it to the polls are being denied their right to vote?

I doubt this is really a problem but am convinced it will be twisted into a colossal fiasco. In South Florida, the only problem I encountered with the touch screen was its sensitivity - an inadvertent brush with my hand caused it to check a box. No big deal - anyone paying attention would catch the error.

Vegas uses the touch screen, when I went to vote for a candidate I touched the screen and the wrong candidate was selected. It was a simple matter of touching the screen again and wiping out that vote and redoing it to correct the problem.

The dems will make a big deal out of nothing, no matter what.

As the support manager for a company that buids touch screen kiosk systems this could be one of 2 things:

1. Touchscreen calibration is off (though once it's done on good quality screen it rarely needs to be done again. With ours it's about once every 6 months).

2. Some USB touchscreens are registered as UIDs or User Interface Devices in Windows. Since the hardware is recognized some inexperienced people may not load the driver. When this happens, calibration can not be done and the screen will register 180 degrees off of a screen center axis to where it is touched.

Yep, yep. I'm in Atlanta and when I tried to vote I was told I had been taken off the Fulton county (Atlanta) master list. No reason was given. I am currently and properly registered in Fulton county. I had to call the chief of elections, raise bloody h*ll and get a provisional ballot. I'll have to followup on this to make sure my vote was counted but in over ten years of voting I've never had any problems before. Ironically, this was just after I became involved in the Republican party machine. I'm not sure what is going on, but I hope if others have been removed that they will post it here. I live in a heavily republican zip code (north alpharetta) and it could be that someone is just dropping people from lists in that area. But it could be a mistake, too. Not sure until I hear whether or not this is happening to others.

THIS IS BULL$HIT!!!!

I live in a very rural section that I vote (In a democratic hold county-BTW) in a two garage fire station AND for the first time EVER in our county we used this identical touch screen to vote.

I voted right after work and am here to say that IT IS IMPOSSIBLE to screw up the touch screen unless you can't read-PERIOD. You can go back and change any vote you can review it is so damn simple a 6 year old could do it.yOU ARE FORCED TO REVIEW BEFORE PRESSING THE large vote BUTTON AND SOMEONE EXPLAINS ALL OF THIS TO EACH VOTER SO THE DEMS ARE sore WHINEY LOSERS.

some Democratic election worker probably left their PBS mug on 'that funny looking cup holder' in the computer.

-------------------------

Caller: "Hello, is this Tech Support?"

Tech Rep: "Yes, it is. How may I help you?"

Caller: "The cup holder on my PC is broken and I am within my warranty period. How do I go about getting that fixed?"

Tech Rep: "I'm sorry, but did you say a cup holder?"

Caller: "Yes, it's attached to the front of my computer."

Tech Rep: "Please excuse me if I seem a bit stumped, it's because I am. Did you receive this as part of a promotional, at a trade show? How did you get this cup holder? Does it have any trademark on it?"

Caller: "It came with my computer, I don't know anything about a promotional. It just has '24X' on it."
