Share some time with those who need you. They need our time more then we will ever know. wow. that's excellent, jl.
this weekend my 6 and 9 yr old took turns helping me size a herd of .40 cal casings...
one would put the casing in the press, and the other pull the handle... i'm sure neither one of them really cared what we were doing, but we were together, having fun,
and spent hours discussing the really important stuff... and i admit, it's really a wonderful eye opener
to get an understanding of what's really important to your 6 and 9 yr old.
your story nigh on brought tears to this old redneck. thanks.

I went and did my duty and carried Van Hilleary's sign at my polling place...it was MISERABLE, cold, rain, giving way to heavy misting, then to just cold. I'm sipping hot chocolate to warm up.

Exactly the message - kids don't care about the activity - it's just the chance to be around someone that they love and want to spend time with. You could have been playing tiddle-de-winks and they would have been just as thrilled.
Nice work with the kids and the casings. ;-)
God bless and keep you all. JL
