My 6 yo daughter and I just got back. She had a fun time poking the holes for me where I pointed, so I let her wear my "I voted" sticker. :)
No school today in our area - teacher's in-service day. Kind of a bummer, since that may actually decrease voter turnout. OTOH it's nice to have the chance to educate the kids on this important event.
Is it weird that I've *never* had to wait for an open booth?

"No school today in our area - teacher's in-service day."My schoolteacher daughter has an in-service day today, too -- in Virginia.
We use schools as polling places in NM, but school is still in session today.

Finished voting in Ontario, California (San Bernardino County). Voted Republican straight down the ticket. The poll workers there said that the turnout was higher then they had expected. I counted about 5 other people voting, but the polls had only opened 7 minutes earlier.
Come'on California Republicans FIRE GREY DAVIS!
