"Am concerned about reports of heavy turnout nationwide--not usually good for R."

Democrats are planning on staying home, posting on the DU, then screaming "REPUBLICAN INTIMIDATION OF DEMOCRAT VOTERS" first thing tomorrow morning. Maybe even by 8:00 tonight. Then the Democrat lawyers will come in, and then the post-election election stealing will commence.

Just finished voting in San Francisco...and the turnout was slightly less than usual for a gubernatorial election. I don't know whether this is good or bad for Simon but several commented that they voted the ABCD ticket.

ANYBODY BUT CORRUPT DAVIS!

I voted the this morning, with my dad, and we voted the same way (two of each):

PA GOV: The Stealth Candidate, Mike Fisher
US CONG: Our Trusty Congresscritter, John Peterson
$100M Bond Issue for Volunteer Fire Departments: NO

And that, my friends, was the entire ballot!

Just returning from voting for all rep. in the state of Texas. I reported to the officals that two men were holding up Dems. signs at the parking lot of the polling place. They were sending people out to check on it. I hope we can role to a big win.

You bet. This election gave me yet another opportunity to vote against Willie Don Shaefer (but he will still win big...oh well). Go Ehrlich/Steele!!!!!!

Voted only once for Senator Allard(R), US Rep Biff Baker(L), and a pile of assorted Republican and Libertarian dog catchers. Voted no on all amendments except 31 which scraps bilingual education.

Hello All,

This is my first post.

Been Lurking for years.

Just got back from Voting!!

Took my 22 yo Daughter and her boyfriend and got them to vote also.

I gave them each a "cheat sheet" with all of the "right" people and ammendments marked for them.

We had to go to 3 different locations to vote, but we got it done!!

We're in LA, and voted for Terrell, and we'll be back for the run-off in Dec.

Beautiful, downtown......Ballwin, hahaha. My only real concern is the empty lots and dogs who will try to get the polls in St. Louis CITY kept open longer than usual again this election. I hope that doesn't happen.

Oh and my sister just left to go vote a straight Republican ticket also. GO TALENT! (My brother already voted for Jim earlier today).

Voted in SW Georgia on new touch screen machines. Had no problems. Voted straight REPUBLICAN ticket. Felt good. Heavier than normal turnout at my small precinct. Most people around here are democraps. There are a few of us intelligent people scattered about though. My wife will vote the same way when she gets home from work. Now it's YOUR turn. Instead of reading this you should GO VOTE!!!!!!

While I voted straight R, I confess that I didn't feel that I was sufficiently well informed enough to cast an intelligent vote in every single obscure nonpartisan judicial race. Since I consider myself pretty well educated and informed, it does make one wonder a bit about how we go about selecting people for those offices.

I found that by checking the local county GOP website, i.e., Google search for "County Name" sample ballot, I got a list of those individuals in non-partisan races who are actually Republicans. Although that does not guarantee a good selection of candidates, it's better than nothing.

I feel like I was "robbed" of my joyous Election night "moment" in 2000; I want it tonight!

Me too! I really, really, want to hear Peter Jennings say, "The American people threw another temper tantrum today and gave *Bush a three seat majority in the United States Senate."

*(Note that I am not disparaging the President just noting that this is how I predict Jennings will react!)

Regards,

TS

Just returned from voting here in central Louisiana. Heavy rain and heavy turnout already. The volunteers are out big time on the phones. Voted straight republican. Cast one for Cooksey to get Mary out. Very bad weather in New Orleans they have been in a tornado watch since early this morning. PRAY FOR BUSH. I wish I lived in Minnesota and could vote for COleman.

There are tons of Floridians on fixed incomes. If McBribe or amendment 9 wants to cut into their fixed income, they are really in a pickle.

Voted this morning at around 10am, straight Republican ticket except one slot that had only a Democrat or Write in as choice, Sure hope Bugs Bunny didn't mind my write in:). On another note also picked up a few people who would not have voted due to the location of their polling places, didn't mind pulling guard detail one bit.

The inner City Polling places were dead(pun intended), while my Polling place (County) is having a much higher then usual turnout. For me its not a matter of Party in as much as a Good(Republican) VS Evil(Democrat).
