I really don't think Chafee will do so. He likes the idea of being a "honcho," and is being courted by his fellow Pubbies.

If the election were this minute----SD, MN, MO, CO, NH, GA, TX, NC, SC, and TN would be ours. The only probable loss is now AR. That puts us up three--which would negate a Chaffee departure.
