Other than the photos that are etched into my memory. Those I took.
All photos are copyright © 1995 by Sgt. Dan Helmuth, Oklahoma City Police Department
Lots of you LEOs got pics.
I am certain that the forensics people got photos of the crater.
Think they'll ever be released either?

Well, first, I know Dan Helmeth. Actually go to church with him now. He is an OKC beat officer. He walks a beat downtown. He is a great guy. However the photos that you listed were taken several days after the bombing. None that I saw were from 4-19. I will ask him if he has any from the first day. He may not. Doubt that he was too concerned that day to take pictures. But I will ask.

Please remember, after the first few days, they had to bury the crater so that they could get the heavy equipment in there to remove the large debris to look for more victim remains. In fact, the last 2-3 victims were not removed until after the building was imploded and and almost all of the debris was removed. So the crater was only there for a few days. It will not be depicted in any of the photos taken after the first couple of days. I remember discussions about it being photographed and examined and excavated for evidence quickly so that it could be covered over to allow those heavy cranes to move into place.
