My mother, in California, said she was talking to a couple of people about the Governor's race. They were undecided. My mom said, "well, at least Simon has the courage to stand up to his pro-life position. So many politicians refuse to state their true convictions." She said the other two nodded and decided to vote for Simon!

I agree -- I just got an e-mail from a good friend -- she was going to vote for Rendell (Dem. for governor in PA) but I talked to her in church yesterday and told her he was totally for abortion (and for tax-payer funds to pay for it) and she has changed her mind -- she adores Rendell and loves what he did for Philly -- but realizes this is an important issue and as a Christian she cannot vote for him
