Rick, USMC - I'm glad you enjoy the Wild Riders in the Night! We do have a fun time while we honor you and the rest of our troops and veterans. Making the Canteen a place you can call a home-away-from-home when you have some down time is one of our goals, so we must be doing something right. LOL! So, grunt, come back anytime and relax a bit. God bless you for the job you are doing to protect our freedoms.

I never learned how to scuba dive although my father and other siblings knew how to. I love to snorkel and swim though -

Diva, get certified. I guarantee you will love it. Since you have used the snorkel, you already trust the equipment and that is the only difficult part. The first time I went snorkeling, I ended up with very bad sunburn on my ankles (don't laugh, it was rough)lol

have you seen the documentary on PBS about the ladies in that little town in NE that ran a USO food stop on the railroad from DEC'41 to Jan '46, 24-7 for FREE with all volunteers?

they fed HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of HUNGRY GIs, with a town population of less than 800!
