Whoops, my previous comment should have referenced two posts: yours (#37) and my reply to txzman (#32).

Apologies! Goes to show what happens when I skip over some comments! :-)

God bless!

And even though Jesus said to Thomas, "Because you have seen me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed," I still have to believe that Thomas was blessed, too.

I agree. Some matters of faith I take purely and solely on faith, other matters I have had to read about, pray about, and understand before I could honestly say I believed. I was listening to a radio show about conversion, and they were discussing the conversion of the heart versus the conversion of the mind, that sometimes the mind gets in the way and other times the heart gets in the way (for example, you believe but don't know why, can't articulate your faith or the reason for your hope). I think I had parts of both! But conversion is a continual process, and looking at the picture of the unborn reaffirms everything I believe about the sanctity of human life, and makes me what to share with everyone that each and every life is valuable and worthy.

Actually you've come a long way from our common ancestor - on a different path from us however. But being an ape you probably don't even understand evolutionary theory well enough to ask a serious well-posed question.

After reading this article, I went out and bought the book ... it is incredible. Definitely worth the money.
