Voters may receive assistance at the polls
You are entitled to receive assistance if you:

Cannot read or write; or
Have a physical disability that prevents you from reading or marking the ballot.
Tell the election official that you need help to vote. You do not have to provide proof of your disability.

You may be assisted by:

Any person of your choice;
Two election workers on Election Day; or

One election worker during early voting.

One election worker during early voting.

I was reading from the election code and didn't see that. It's a minor point, though.

What's that about an informed electorate being necessary for the survival of a free state?

It probably shouldn't, but this really bothers me. What are the chances of someone unable to read and write voting for a Pubbie? Does it make sense to anyone else that for a person to vote, they should at least be literate?
