Thank you, Aqua, for the Sunday hymn!

I have a small real life story about a piano to relate.
My mother's parents both were children of ministers, my grandmother graduating from Columbia College in music in 1895 and then taught school.

Her father was an associate pastor at the Washington Street Methodist Church, a stone's throw from the capitol building of South Carolina in Columbia, and my grandmother played the piano in it.

My grandfather was a minister, too, and when they married in that church in 1898, her father helped officiate.

Fast forward to recent times, to the small town of Summerton, SC where my sister has a home, and the Episcopalian Church there.
Anne was instrumental in purchasing that very piano for them three years ago!
Lovely to have that piece of family history where we can see and appreciate it.

What a lovely story about the piano. Isn't it strange how some things turn out in life?

I hope that you, too are having a Blessed Sunday! I'm trying to stretch mine out for as long as I can....it's back to W-O-R-K (ugh!) tomorrow! :-(

What a great story. Isn't it wonderful when we can keep tabs on things that belonged in our ancestor's lives?
