i can only say that i feel the same about rap now adays cause the way it is all the same. And is all thugs and gangstas...Run Dmc were like the fat boys some of the first Rap artist on movies...Tougher then leather. Not an Acadamy Award winning movie by far but still a movie that brought rap to the main stream... And it is sad that people just discount it as another Black Rapper Dead..He was not another black rapper he was a human being.. That was the King of rap along with Run and DMC. So Stop ya illin.
RIP JMJ
OH i am not the best writer but wanted to say from my heart how i feel about his passing.

said it elsewhere, will repeat it here.

my appreciation for rap is finite, but I have heard nothing but good about and from JMJ and RUN DMC.
They are pioneers in hiphop, hip-hop/rock synergy, and hip-hop movie collaborations.
Lest anyone forget, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler credited RUN DMC with jumpstarting his band's faltering career.
They were always fun and upbeat.
Though I hardly knew him, I respect JMJ and regret his passing.
