The last contribution to civilization that africa made was the pyramids, some 3000 years ago. Since then they have done nothing. They were butchering and eating each other for thousands of years. Despots ruled. They enslaved and sold others into slavery for hundreds of years before the whites got there. There was no trace of individual freedom or representative government. Even today, these concepts are as foreign to africa as men from mars.

In a continent with abundant mineral and agricultural riches there is abject poverty and starvation. Where the whites were kicked out, despotism and anarchy have returned. No whites EVER committed the genocide that happened in rwanda, all because of being in a different "tribe".

Yes, there were colonial whites in africa. There were colonial whites in Asia, India, Central and South America. How is it that those regions contain civilized, productive nations with rapidly increasing living standards? Maybe they did not cocoon themselves in blame.

Africa, especially south of the sahara, is a failure. It's time the rest of the world moved on. Providing them with aid only postpones the inevitable.

The blame whites arguement is crap, both in africa and the rest of the world. White civilization was the only hope africa had. It's gone now.

Amen. Time to let these folks deal with a problem of their own making without my tax dollars. If a return to a 'natural' state is their goal, far be it from me to intervene when a black despot does (yet again) another mass murder or starvation.
