BTW, "Sieg heil" translates to English as "said safely".

Sorry, the exact translation is: "Victory hail!". The verb comes towards the end of the sentence in German.

I pumped the translation both ways (G to E and E to G)into the site http://www.freetranslation.com/ and got "Said safely" going E to G, and got "Sieg Hagel" when I put in "Victory Hail" from G to E.

I know this site is not very good.
