.... speaking of which .... there was nary a mention or prayer in the name of God at the Wellstone (ahem - cough, cough) "memorial service", which should be a bit surprising if Wellstone was a practicing Jew (which I do not know - anyone?).

God, someone please SHUT THE REPUBLICANS UP!! They are going to steal defeat from the jaws of victory once again! The last thing the GOP wants is equal time!! What the hell would the GOP do with 4 hours of air time? Other than bore the public to death... nothing personal guys, but no one except the really faithful (and not even most of them) are going to watch 4 hours of politicians rambling about policy or leveling accusations.. its hard enough to get em to watch a 1 hour debate! Shut the Republicans up!!! The press and people are flambeying the dems for that fiasco... let them do it for you!!!!!! I know GOP is not used to the press being on their side, but on this one they are... let it run its course.. don't screw it up!

"- thank you writing - I feel badly about what happened on Tuesday night and you are right - we agreed to the use of Williams Arena for a memorial, partly because three of the people who died had a close association with the University: one was a senior faculty member, one was a student who had been a leader in a variety of campus activities and one was the husband of one of our staff. Obviously something other than a memorial service occurred and I regret that."
