The New York Times is part of a multi-media cartel that is determined to push the world toward socialism. Over decades, a left-wing cadre has risen through the ranks in the major journalism centers until its members now control most of the top ten outlets. Witness the bias endemic in the electronic press. Note that the Times, the Washington Post, the Atlanta Constitution, the LA Times, and most other major metro dailies are all unabashedly liberal in their tone. We've all been exposed to the pink jabber from Hollywood.
The Left was smart enough to know years ago that Americans were gullible, and that to change minds you had to own the stage. So they set about placing their minions in positions of power from which they could spread their poison. The Times is just one example.
I seem to recall having read years ago that Hitler knew that people wanted to believe his lies, and that the bigger the lie the more it was believed.
