I think it may have been The Battle of Jericho story. When the sun came to a stop in the sky. Clearly, they argued, this would mean the Sun revolves around the Earth and not the other way around.

Interesting, but then about the same time the Catholic Church was selling indulgnces as well. However I do remember that someone had in fact created a working model for describing the motion of the sun and other planets around the earth. All motion is relative as long as it is constant. If you took an moving battery powered model of our solar system and picked up by grabbing planet earth you would get the same relative motions between the planets however earth would be the "center".
