I disagree with the 100%. It says in the bible that man is inherently sinful and imperfect. Given that, how can a prophet always relay God's information perfectly 100% of the time when the prophet is sinful and imperfect. I won't buy anything about the prophet experiencing moments of perfection. There was only ever one prophet who had perfection in communication with the people and God. And that prophet was the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

I am of the opinion that we can not say 100% what God's will is. Who are we to say who God would bestow gifts upon? You may reference the Old Testament all you wish, but I doubt the bible is the end-all of God's word. To say that "everything our God wants us to know is contained on these few hundred pages" is as arrogant as to say that "there can be no life on other planets" or to say "anyone who is not a christian will burn in hell for eternity". Who are we to say that God hasn't bestowed gifts? To say that God has not created life somewhere besides this world? To say that a person who never saw the bible or heard of our God could burn in hell purely because of his circumstance?

I don't buy it. The God I know is much more powerful and benevolent than that.

Okay, well if you want to go all over the map objecting to positions that I didn't state, that's fine, but playing the pick-and-choose game with what you like from the Bible, and then trying to use it as common ground to declare that someone (like Cayce) had certain beliefs, is intellectually dishonest, flaky, and spiritually foolish. Nevertheless, the fact remains, Cayce was an occultist. If that's okay with the anything-goes god you pal around with... Well, have fun.

Incidentally, the one prophet whose accuracy you recognize fully endorsed the Old Testament writings, which include the standard for true prophets vs. false ones. Furthermore, he warned of false ones to come. You, however, have just dismissed all the means of determining truth from lies by giving anyone claiming knowledge all the excuses they need to be wrong. When you are ready to place more importance on what IS true than what you WANT to be true or think SHOULD be true, you'll be making progress. Until then, you're making god in your own image.

First things, first. Recommend you return to Scripture, read a common translation such as the KJV, NASB, NIV and read a book in one sitting. Try to get through one of the Gospels first or any books of Scripture. Set the issue simply between yourself and God and insure you've placed yourself properly before Him while reading by confessing your sins to Him first on His grounds.

You may find that Jesus, the Christ and Savior also in Person is referenced as the Creator. He might also be named as a Prophet, as He did prophesy, but in many contexts such a description is a vast understatement similar to how many unbelievers might desribe Him as 'a very powerful spiritual figure'.

Considering He is attributed with Creation and with conquering Hell and Death as well as all angels falling to His charge, such descriptions are gross understatements.

As for saying what God's will is...discernment is possible through Scriptural study. Jesus Christ, Himself, quoted the major Prophets so their testimony is gleaned to likewise be true.

There are doctrines with good justification that he canon of Scripture was completed, so stating such a position might not be arrogance, but simply a dogmatic position based upon God's Word. Nothing wrong with remaining steadfast in His Word.

As for those other than His followers burning in Hell for all eternity,...yep, you've got that correct. May want to read Hebrews.
