Good point. But Daryl Jenkins seems particularly very very bothered by the fact that we welcomed the Iraqi dissidents. His approach seems to be (1) it didn't really happen, we weren't welcoming to them, in fact contrary to everything on the videotape we don't like them and (2) he hopes in the future the Iraqi dissidents will come to their senses and agree with him that the *last* thing anyone would want to do is take away Saddam's toys.

I say again what good people those Iraqis were. They spoke from the heart and their families have suffered at the hands of Saddam. God Bless them or, as they would have it, may their Allah bless their cause.

I hope Mr. Jenkins spends *a lot* of time trying to research why he just *knows* that because you're on the right you have to be racist, Stand watie: you'd think for all the times he's accused you of this or that, he'd have evidence.

Why doesn't his piece discuss the anti-semitism of many of the anti-war protestors? There were plainly signs that went beyond just being for PLO rights: signs about "Jewish greed" and other plainly ugly anti-semitism. He can point to know specific evidence of racism at our diverse rally, and we can point to much at theirs. The power of denial . . .

daryl is BUSY trying to deny that the anti-semites were "WITH THEM"-his site "wants proof". FUNNY THING though, when i pointed out a LARGE yellow sign with at least a 2-foot tall black swastika on it, that he couldn't see it and suddenly "had to go"!

i was VERY IMPRESSED with the Iman and MANY men of his flock from MI (coming from a diehard rebel, that's saying something!).

ALSO,too bad the women on "the other side" could not be as friendly, ladylike and polite as the Iraqi young ladies from the mosque. FUNNY THING, not a single one of the Iraqi women made OBSCENE GESTURES, cursed or made anti-Christian/anti-semetic comments.

SADLY this was VERY different from the deportment of many of the US "women of the peace movement", who seem to know no words longer than 4 letters, except mother------!

Daryl Jenkins also seems to be of the opinion that Free Republic does not allow exchange of ideas & opinions. I have seen plenty of dissent on this site and as long as the posting rules are not broken...they are allowed to argue their side. The only posters I have seen banned are those whose posts are hostile or racial.

I wonder what screen name Daryl Jenkins used & what he has posted. Anyone know?
