Has anyone bothered to check on the orbit of the International Space Station at the time of the filming? Sheesh!

Do you really think ISS could be seen that large from the ground. This is a serious question - I have no idea whether it could be seen.

Yes, I've seen it from my front yard when the orbital path is overe the area at the right time of day for sun angle and clear sky. You don't need anything more than a pair of simple binoculars. The atmosphere can act as a refractory also, to enlarge or pull closer by image the thing being seen. The plane obviously comes between the camera person and the higher object. The plane was likely above twenty-thousand feet or more, judging by the water vapor trail.
